I grew up in Bartonville and graduated from LCHS. I went on to ICC, where I ran cross country, sang in their Vocal Jazz group, and participated in the Phil Harmonic Choral. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I started coaching Monroe's volleyball team and went on to coach track, too.
In 2013 I married Evan Haffner (yes, the PE teacher at Monroe). We both have a passion for working with students and love coaching! We have a dog named Tators (5) and an outside cat named Beans (1). We love spending time with friends and family, camping, and working on random projects around the house.
Monroe has become a second home for me and Mr. Haffner. We spend so much of our time at extra curricular activities and such. It's amazing to see where the students go after Monroe and how they make the community proud. I have a love for teaching and my favorite subject to teach is math. I stress to the students that there is ALWAYS more than one way to get to an answer, and I love seeing how they solve problems differently.
